Sony (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (“Sony”) is responsible for the Travel for Music Buy & Win Contest 2023 (“Contest”). You are eligible to join the Contest only if you agree to and accept the following terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”). Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before participating in the Contest. By submitting your registration, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Sony reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend or amend the Contest and/or these Terms and Conditions without any liability to you should there be unforeseeable events which in Sony’s absolute opinion may jeopardize the process of the Contest. Any cancellation, suspension or changes to the Contest and/or these Terms and Conditions will be revised and reflected as an update(s) here. In the event of disputes regarding the Contest or the Terms and Conditions of the Contest, Sony shall have the right to make final decision.

1. Sony reserves the right to disqualify and/or exclude any entries from the Contest, for any reason and for no reason, including without limitation, violation of any portion of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash or other items and may be subject to availability. Sony reserves the right to replace any gifts with items of similar value without prior notice.
3. Contest Prize will be for selected models only.
4. The Terms and Conditions of this Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.

(a) Purchase period will run from 7 August 2023 to 24 September 2023 or while stock last, whichever is earlier (“Purchase Period”).
(b) My Sony Warranty Registration period will start from 7 August 2023 to 8 October 2023 (“Registration Period”).

1. Entries received outside the Contest Period shall be automatically disqualified.
2. Sony reserves the right to shorten, extend or cancel the Contest Period at its sole discretion without prior notice.

To participate in the Contest, Applicants (as defined below) the following 3 steps must be completed as eligibility requirements:

1. Step 1: Products must be purchased from a list of eligible Sony Authorized Store or Retail Dealers only.
2. Step 2: Product warranty must be registered in My Sony at https://web.sony-asia.com/my/sign-in/
3. Step 3: Submit purchase information https://www.smap.ap.sony.com/survey/se/15795BB27425947F by loading an image of your purchased product’s serial number and purchase receipt.
4. Product registration must be submitted to My Sony Warranty Registration and purchase information on or before the last day of contest, 8 October 2023 23:59 (GMT +8:00).
5. An additional step is required for customers to purchase Sony Extended Warranty (SEW)

Option 1:

1.1. Register product warranty with My Sony at https://web.sony-asia.com/my/sign-in/ with own email.
1.2. With the same email address, register for Sony Extended Warranty.

Note:  Extended warranty will not be reflected in My Sony. Please keep all receipts for any claim purposes.

Option 2:

2.1. Sony Extended Warranty to be registered at the dealer’s /place of purchase using own email.
2.2. This same email address is to be used to register for My Sony account (without product) at https://web.sony-asia.com/my/sign-in/. This is to ensure validation.

Note: If different email address is used, the eligibility will be disqualified from the contest.

6. Contest is open to all Malaysians citizens and residents of Malaysia.
7. Sony’s employees (and their immediate families), its related agencies, retailers and dealers, promoters/shopfront staff (under directly/indirectly the employment of Sony) are not eligible for this contest.
8. Any products given from Sony as a result from a marketing contest is not eligible for this contest.
9. Applicant must be the legal age of 18 years and above on or by 8 October 2023.
10. Any purchases made under ASC will not be entitled for submission.
11. The Applicant has the legal capacity to participate in the Contest in accordance with the Terms & Conditions and that the information submitted is true, complete and accurate.
12. By submitting the Contest entries, Applicant thereby (a) specifically authorize Sony to use and/or have third parties to use such entry in whole or in part, throughout the world, in perpetuity in or on any and all media, now known or hereafter devised, and alone or together or as part of other information, content and/or material of any kind or nature for the marketing purpose; (b) represents and warrants that all elements contained in the Contest entries (i) is original to you or fully cleared for use as contemplated herein, (ii) does and will not, in any way, violate or breach any of the terms of any other agreement you may be a party to, (iii) is not unlawful information, infringes or violates any copyright or other right (including the image rights), (iv) does not contain libelous, tortuous, or the publication or sale of which will violate any federal or state statute or regulation, (iv) is not obscene or in any other manner unlawful, and (v) shall not require Sony to pay or incur any sums to any person or entity as a result of Sony’s use or exploitation of the same. You shall indemnify and hold harmless Sony and its affiliates from and against any claim, action, damage, loss and costs and expenses (including legal fees and professional fees) arising from or in connection with any breach of the foregoing.

1. In the event that a Winner (i) does not respond to Sony within seven (7) days of being notified by Sony of his/her win; (ii) refuses to provide his/her name, address and contact information for the purpose of delivering the Prize; (iii) has breached any Terms and Conditions herein; or (iv) his/her entry is invalid for whatever reasons, his/her Prize will be forfeited and Sony shall be entitled to select another Winner.
2. In the event that any Winner is disqualified from the Contest, Sony, at its sole discretion, may decide whether a replacement Winner should be selected. In this event, any further Winner will be selected on the same criteria as set out in the Terms and Conditions. Sony can repeat this process any number of times until it has selected a satisfactory Winner in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
3. Sony’s decision for all Winners is final.
4. Sony has the final decision pertaining to any dispute on selection of Winner. Any appeals made including appeals to check the status of the entries, will not be entertained.

6. Known as (“Prize”). Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash or other items and may be subject to availability. Sony reserves the right to replace any Prizes with items of similar value without prior notice.
7. Acceptance of any Prizes shall constitute consent on the Winner’s part to allow the use by Sony of the Winner’s name, nickname, image, voice, likeness and/or the fact that the Winner won the Prizes for editorial, advertising, promotional, marketing and/or other purposes without further notice or compensation, except where prohibited by law. Acceptance of any Prize shall constitute a release and discharge of Sony by each Winner from any and all liability, claims, demands, causes of action, and/or damages which the Winner may have, whether known or unknown at the present time, of any nature whatsoever, arising out of or relating to: (i) the Contest, (ii) personal injury and/or property damage, theft or loss suffered by the Winner as a result of the use and/or enjoyment of the Prize, and/or (iii) any tax liabilities in relation to the Contest, Prize and/or use or enjoyment of the same.
8. Winners agree to be contacted by Sony or its authorized representatives to participate in public relations events tied to the Contest to generate press coverage of the Contest and the accessories range. This may include, but not be limited to, quotes given for inclusion in press releases and press conferences, interviews, etc.
9. Prizes are to be collected from respected Sony offices or Sony Centres which are at the closest geographical availability to the winner.
10. All prizes will be disseminated no later than 29 December 2023.
11. Sony reserves the right to withhold the Prize pending verification of the Winner’s compliance with the Terms and Conditions of the Contest.
12. Winners are required to show proof of purchase and ID to verify validity.

Use of Personal Information

1. All information, including personal information (“Information”) submitted or known to Sony and/or its affiliates in connection with this Contest will only be used for the purposes set out in and treated in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and those stipulated in the Privacy Policy of Sony at https://www.sony-asia.com/microsite/privacypolicy/my/ (“Privacy Policy”).
2. In addition to those stipulated in the Privacy Policy, by entering the Contest, you agree:
3. to the use of the Information, without compensation, for Sony’s promotional and marketing purposes; and
4. to the use of the Information, without compensation, for the purpose of administration in relation to the Contest.
